2023 Marshall University School of Art & Design, 12th Annual National Juried Exhibition, Huntington, WV. I had two portraits in this exhibition: Cydney with a Chinese Traditional Garment Han Fu, Hadassah With Her iPhone 11. Curator Neil Callander MFA Mason Gross School of Arts.

My artworks are greatly informed by the master painters: Raphael and Caravaggio, particularly their religious works, which are inspirational as a Christian. I also research contemporary painters examining and crossing cultures and painting methods such as Kehinde Wiley and Kurt Kauper to inform my subject matter. More specifically, my work uses traditional techniques and geometrical compositional devices to re-present Christian Icons and Symbolism in contemporary painting. Replacing historical figures with contemporary subjects, I exploring connections between past and contemporary art theory while speaking to my multicultural experience as a Chinese American.
